Kuona Trust is a non profit organization set up to research, support, innovate and promote contemporary visual art in Kenya and East Africa as a whole. Our mission is to generate public appreciation of visual arts by advancing the skills and opportunities for artist and strengthening local audiences. We are a registered Trust, established since 1995 and have been largely responsible for developing the current contemporary art scene in Kenya. We provide artists studios, training workshops, exhibitions and presentations, international residencies and workshops and numerous outreach projects. We work closely with other similar arts organisations across African and further a field and are currently looking for new premises to expand our studios and local activities.
