Arts Collaboratory

PULSE is an artists’ initiative founded in 2000 and based in South Africa. PULSE activities are characterized by their good quality in terms of (artistic) content and in terms of the organisation of the activities. The focus of the activities varies from artistic issues to social issues. PULSE wants to open up and fertilize the professional art scene and connect high artistic quality with contemporary social contexts. The projects mostly involve international artists and are organised around exchange of views from different regions/contexts. PULSE has been praised in the press for the good quality of its events and for its innovative approaches and themes.
