Art East invited Cascoland to participate in “Boom-Boom”, the 4th Bishkek Contemporary Art Exhibition in Kyrgyzstan to present the work of Cascoland and to execute a satellite project. The Cascoland delegation to Boom-Boom consisted of artists Fiona de Bell, Bart Majoor, Bert Kramer, Jan korbes, Gitte Nygaard and Roel Schoenmakers. The visit of Cascoland to Boom-Boom was an opportunity to research the location and context, establish contacts with local parties and to adress issues around public space, architecture, artistic infrastructure and identity in the Central Asian republics.
