Collaborative project between Espira/La Espora and Art East
The discussions around themes and contents of pedagogical art practice, gave birth to TACON (Talleres de Arte Contemporaneo). The cycle was developed in Managua
and Kyrgyzstan, simultaneously, according to their respective needs
and proposed strategies.
In Managua, TACON lasted eight months. It developed as an introduction
to contemporary thinking through a hands on approach and discussions
of the weekly results.
Dialogue being the basis of our teaching, the material results were
discussed from the perception of every participant, and systematized
by the facilitator, Patricia Belli, in a comprehensive analysis of the
effects of every piece. Whether it was sublime or grotesque, rational
or illustrative, the discussion would be geared towards the
understanding of our biological and cultural takes on objects, marks,
materials and images.
